7 1/2 months of pregnancy is a long time to go without some really good Mexican food. Believe me I KNOW!!! :) Well today Dan splurged on me and went into a Mexican grocery he recently stumbled upon and bought me some juice (after I almost hijacked the
Goya juice truck), and some tamarind candy. This is not my favorite tamarind, I prefer the
hand made variety you can buy at a good dulceria or
Olvera Street, but in times of extreme desperation the fake stuff tastes very good indeed! And the kids won't touch it after I tell them it has chili peppers in it. :) MMMMMM!
So there is your random pregnant food information for today! Oh and don't even think about trying to get
Las Palmas Verde Enchilada sauce here, it does not exist!
UPDATE:

Look what Marisa brought me on Sunday! Her mom brings it to her from Mexico (because it is her favorite too) and she generously chose to share with this crazy pregnant lady!!
And check out THIS cool site, I just wish shipping was not quite so much!
Adios!
glad that you were able to get a fix!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty picture of Mexican food products! I never really had pregnancy cravings, but it did aquire a big taste for tomatoes where there previously wasn't one, and that has never gone away. Love, Lisa
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. And there is no good Mexican food in Indiana! You look so good, and you are 30 weeks- wow good for you, I gain about 50 lbs every time EEWWW!!! Oh well, they are worth every horrible pound. I hope you are felling ok, I hate being pregnant, so sick, so tired, so miserable. But just a few more weeks, and you will have a beautiful newborn. I am jealous of that. Elle is eight months now- so not a newborn! By the way, how far apart are we now? I would love to see you, but I hate to drive!!!!!!!
