Kids and Packing.

I don't think those two words should be in the same sentence! Although Fern and Jake are also being cute, Riley is having a hard time with it so no cute photos of him.

Here is Jake feeding Fern some rice, they both thought it was too funny. Fern has turned into a voracious eater in the last week.






I was packing this box in our closet and Fern thought it was not full enough, so she hopped right in, then every time I said her name she flashed me one of these grins! Too cute!









This is forlorned Fern in our mostly packed living room this morning. She looks a little lost, but Dan took this photo so I have no clue what was happening. :)


There may be large gaps in post for the next few weeks as the kids and I set out on our "journey into the wilderness". But instead we will be "dwelling" in the van. :) But there may be one here and there. :)

And you all thought we were bored!

So last night Jake thought we had nothing else to do, so we took a trip to the ER! He was standing on one of our many boxes around here, and then fell, jumped, whatever and landed on his head on the very sharp edge of the fire place. Yea blood everywhere. So then thankfully Grandma was here to watch Fern and Riley, and off we went to the ER. And 3 stitches, a few tears, and a balloon glove later we got home. He had 1 stitch inside and 2 on the outside.




Jake is very proud of his Lightning McQueen band-aid. He told Papa M. that he bumped his head. I think it may be the understatement of the year. :)









Earlier in the day Riley was modeling for us, these are a pair of jeans Aunt Mary got for Riley's baby shower, almost 6 years ago. They FINALLY fit! They have jets embroidered on the back pockets!

Marco...Pollo...

Remember that silly game we played in the pool, well this was a lot like that. We blindly wandered around the Naugatuck Valley of Connecticut with Ed our realtor. We wandered ALOT, just ask Riley he'll tell you! But thankfully on the 14th house in 2 days, the last one Ed had to show us, we waked in said Marco, and thankfully there was finally an answer...Pollo! And some how it has run smoothly so far, so here is our new house! We will hopefully be in there near the end of Oct.



Here is part of the back yard, we have just under 1/2 an acre. Part grass, part lightly wooded. There is also a deck and an above ground pool. So next time you find your self in Naugatuck Connecticut (after Oct.) I hope you'll come play with us! Love ya all!!

Warming Up!

Well, life gets a little more real. Today is Dan's last day working at FlightSafety! Dan has worked there almost 6 1/2 years, this has been a tradition for a while. First it was just Riley walking Dan out and sitting in the car with him while it warmed up, then Jake joined them, then Fern. So on this last day of work, we all of course walked Dan out to the car, and I thought we needed a picture to commemorate his 6+ years at FlightSafety. And now off into the wild blue yonder... Literally! :)

These Feet Were Made for Walking!

Ok I can not for the life of me get Blogger to let me put up a video. I am not even sure if this will work this way. So HERE is a video of Fern walking until Dan startled her and she fell over! :) If it dose not work, and you want to see it email me and I will email it to you! She is now walking a lot! Next Mon. she will be 11 mo. old! I can not believe it has gone by so quickly. I have thought a lot about her birth verses the boys, and I think with the boys the experience was so... unfulfilling, wrong, and in some instances horrible that I wanted to get far away from them fast. But with Fern, her birth was so peaceful, warm, loving, completely soul fulfilling, that it makes it sad to get further away from it. I enjoyed it. Now you all are thinking Danna has been pushed over the deep end! :) But peace is nice.

Super Man is Tired!

Is mom really that boring? Yesterday during Sesame Street Jake came over and cuddled up to me, and the next thing I knew, he was down for the count! He has the cutest little body, and he was laying against the pillow so sweetly. Now if we could stop the screaming every time there is some injustice! :) Do you think he needs new pants? He has been wearing those since they were so long I had to roll them up! I got my money out of those free hand-me-downs! :)

Indoctrination = Brainwashing!

So the boys headed off to FlightSafety today, Dan only has 4 more days of work there! Dan let the boys sit in the simulator, and do "paper work"! Riley loves to shread paper!
Jake's ready for take off, he's got the throttle and the yoke, too bad he can not see over the dash! :)



There is only one thing to say about this guy... AIRPLANE CRAZY!






I thought this was a cute, very determined Jake. I think that soon the excitement that Dad will be flying a real airplane will wear off, and the boys will want to go back to the "video game" job! :) They will be so disappointed when they realize they will not get to actually fly(or even ride in) Dad's new airplane. :)

JAKE'S FAMOUS!

Surprise, Jake has made the big time, he is on a blog other than his mamas! It is a great blog started by my friend Natalie to celebrate the great fashion choices our little (and not so little) loves make! :) So go check it out!

Here is Jake being Jake, silly. This was last week, we had all retreated to our bedroom because there is an air conditioner in there for Fern. So it was the only cool place in the house.

Packing is just about non-existent in our house so far, all though we have all ready given notice to our landlord, so I better get to it. But I hate to pack and have found every excuse not to! I did go buy some disposable diapers last night, because as much as I love my cloth, there is a reason disposables were invented. So maybe I will actually get some packing done. I just grabbed the Target brand diapers, and guess what! They have Care Bears on them! So now my two littles are doing the Care Bear Stare! :)

Fern's First Flight!

It was a long flight, so Fern got to do all sorts of things. She made a lot of friends, she just charmed them all! She took a quick nap, but best of all she ate, almost the entire 5 hours! :)

Here is the return trip, we left at the crack of dawn so the entire flight was daylight. But that is not to say we did not all fall asleep! This was her favorite activity, sitting on the food tray. She sat there and ate, played, and just hung out. What a cutie.





I'm sure the wild fire of gossip has not reached some of you, so I'll tell you why we were on a 5 hour flight this weekend. Dan, Fern, and I flew to Connecticut to go house hunting. Yep Dan has finally caught the elusive full time flying job. And as a surprise it is in Connecticut. We never imagined we'd end up there, we are still in shock and a bit of denial. I'll give you all more later, Fern thinks she would like to eat, silly girl!
