We spent our solstice in the yard! Summer arrived with plenty of heat so we spent the day trying to stay cool! There was bathing suits, hoses, makeshift pools, bikes, fruit, no cooking, fans, and laundry blowing in the breeze! During one part of the day when the heat was just unbearable we retreated to the house that we somehow kept about 10 degrees cooler most of the day (with no air conditioning)! During our time inside I made my version of the Midsummer's wreath from the recent edition of Rhythm of the Home. Our day ended with a late (cool enough), cold picnic dinner out backyard in the grass. Happy Solstice!
How fun! I always loved playing in our big metal tub in the backyard.
