Of course we all went outside! It took us over a half an hour to get all the warm stuff on, Fern and I are lacking in that department! Here are the boys making their first tracks!

We had some good sledding down our little hill.

Fern screamed from when I put her warm clothes on until I took them off. Jake followed close behind because his hands hurt so much. (He would not keep gloves on). So I put a movie in for the 2 party poopers, and went back out to play with Riley, we had a great time sledding. We then thought it would be good to shovel our driveway. Yea, we have a bum shovel that is bowed, the center does not touch the ground. So I was using the kids shovels, but Fern just could not handle life with out me, so I went inside. I am hoping the shoveling fairies will visit so I can go to church tomorrow. We'll see! Riley played outside for over an hour, his cold feelers must be on the fritz!!!
I'm still lacking warm clothes too. This winter I am just wearing layers. When I go to work, I'm usually wearing a short-sleeved shirt, a light cardigan, a sweater, and a fleece pullover. It keeps me fairly toasty. :)
ReplyDeleteNathan just complains that he's cold all the time. I bought him nice gloves this year, because his old ones had a hole, and I think that's helping. My next strategy to keep him warm will be flannel-lined jeans... so fashionable!
Yea my jeans and tennies really didn't keep the snow out! :) I have been wearing a tshirt, a long sleeve tshirt, a cardigan (I have 1) or sweater (I have 1) then strech pants under jeans. I wear the cardigan alot, it is easiest for nursing. :) I keep thinking of seeing how good the goodwill is here!
