{this moment}

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo (or three) - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

Bliss

Yes, bliss.

A sweet memory I carry from my childhood is of sheets hanging on the clothes line out back. Walking between them, running my hands along them or my cheek feeling the crisp coolness and warmth. The peaceful sway in the breeze.

There is something so satisfying and right when I have laundry on the line, life can be crazy or hectic, my sink could be full of dishes or the house in complete disaster. But if there is laundry flipping in the wind, dancing out my window it is all ok. I am ok. It has been over a year since I hung my laundry out. It was well worth the few dollars I spent to buy new rope.

It has even been warm enough for me to lie in the grass below the line and be warmed, body and soul. Today it was warm enough to watch my baby barefooted and giggling learn the blissful art of running through the laundry from her wise older brothers. Bliss.

Adventures!!

Finally a nice day that Dan was home for so we headed out of town! Not far but far enough to breath the fresh pine filled air! It was a wonderful outing!! We originally were planning to hike the Naturalist Trail, but we ended up on a different trail, Ophier I think...
Riley was excited to try out his new found craft, pine needle chains! We have a few decorating the house now!
Jake found treasures, including a large piece of sap!!
Leili was happy to eat the dirty snow, yum...
Snack time! I was excited to get all the kids in one shot all doing their own thing! Too fun!
Thanks to the rock I balance the camera on so we could get a family picture!
Even a picture of ME! :)
And look at these cuties!!

So fun, we are lucky I came home!
