Yea, just the same photo I sent out on email, but hey what do you expect! The kids and I arrived at midnight last night, Dan picked us up and then we drove an hour and a half to the hotel. Then this morning we did the final walk through, got our cashers check, and then by 2pm we had signed the dotted lines, then PRESTO we are finally home owners! We had dinner on the floor of our new house this evening. Tomorrow we will start making it our own, I'll post pictures as we get things situated, the moving truck is scheduled to be here Saturday. We Love you all!

Sand & Snow!

Just a day or two before Dan left Calif. we all went and had a picnic lunch on the beach. This is Grandview Beach in Leucadia, aka: Grandma's Beach. This is where I grew up going to the beach, my Grandpa and Grandma Myers built a house on the bluff, and it was where my Grandma lived until she passed away. ALL of my kids had fun, especially the big one! :)

This was Tuesday morning here in Utah, we woke up to white stuff, or rather I was woken up after Riley woke up to white stuff! We had just bought the boys winter jackets, boots, and bibs. They of course wanted to get all decked out, I said ok to the boots and jackets. There was not much and it melted quickly, but to two California boys it was amazing! What do you think they will think when it really snows in Connecticut?!



Well the kids and I are flying out Monday evening. I had planned to visit family and friends here in Utah before leaving, but we are all just so strung out from our vagabond-ish month that I am just leaving the state quietly. So we will arrive in NY near midnight, then at 1:30 pm. Tuesday we will officially own our first home, and in so doing become residents of Connecticut. Crazy! I will be sending out new contact info this next week! But our email addresses will be the same so don't worry! :) Love ya all!

OH Mom just brought Fern in because Fern just started clapping for the first time!!!!! I can't believe how fast she is catching on to things lately!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Here is our sweet thing when she first woke up and saw the balloons! Riley and I did this with Jake for his first birthday so this time it was Riley, Jake, Grandma, and I.










Fern quickly decide that they were very fun, and then sat down to enjoy them! Plus everyone was smiling and saying Happy Birthday!!











Here is sweet Fern in her new jacket complements of Aunt Mary! We are waiting to do presents and cake until we are with Dad, but Aunt Mary thought it would be good to open this now so Fern dose not freeze!
How fast this year has gone! What a wonderful blessing Fern has been to our family. And what an amazing blessing it was to have her born at home. For that reason it was hard to leave our house in Anaheim. I could never imagine having a baby in a hospital again.

We heard today that we will be signing the papers to close on our house next Tues. at 1:30pm eastern! I still have a few states to cross I better get going! We are now thinking about flying since there have been some weather issues here and there. We will keep you all updated! Love ya all!

5 Days Away!

Yea, now I am searching Mom's computer for pictures! :) I have been in disbelief that Fern will be 1 year old next Wed! I can't believe how fast this year has gone, and what changes!

So in commemoration here is a picture of Riley on the morning of his 1st birthday! And Jake on the morning of his 1st birthday!

We are all doing well, the ride up was fine, Fern did not enjoy it, flying to Connecticut is sounding better. Plus there was some large freak snow storm in NY, I really don't want to drive cross country hitting snow! So we will see. We enjoyed Dan's visit, he is now back in Nebraska. They were suppose to get to fly the airplane today, but something else threw that off. Dan is sad. :( Hopefully soon! Fern's second top tooth broke through the other day. She looks different with teeth! :) But still just as cute! :) Hope you all are doing well, feel free to email or leave msg. on here, I'll respond as I have time!

Girl!

Well now that mom and Aunt Mary have a girl we thought we would have some fun, (it looked a bit like tourcher though)!
We can thank Ryan for the photos, I still can't upload photos. This is just last night at Mary and Ryan's place.
So we painted Fern's nails, Mary didn't have light pink, so we went for this great bright pink coral! The boys thought we were weird, but Jake wanted his done too, don't worry we didn't!








Here is Fern after, it looked so deferent with her nails pink! She still has not noticed them, or maybe she just does not care. But she looks so cute! In this picture you can also see her budding new top tooth, you may have to click on it to blow it up.

Dan surprised us yesterday morning when he called and told us he was on a plane headed towards CA.! So he got into San Diego last night while we were off playing at Mary and Ryan's, good thing Daddy was able to go get him or he may have thought we didn't want him! :) So we are enjoying him today, then tomorrow we start the first leg of our journey. We will drive to Cedar, then Dan will fly out Thurs. morning back to Nebraska. Then the kids and I will be hanging out at Mom's. Thats all the news I know about yet, all the paper work is going well on the loan/house, so we are on track to be out there this month! Yea!

Fall!

Fall is my favorite season, I know most of you would guess summer, but nope I love fall, and I prefer "fall" over "autumn". Silly hu! And after we move I will actually get real falls! I am actually a bit irked I am missing any of it! Plus we can't even decorate, since I don't think my van needs decorating! :)



So the kids and I decided we would do some fun fall coloring. The boys LOVE Halloween, so we did some of that. I found this great site with some good templates, and then this site had some good pumpkins to color. The last one does not have a face so we used that one to make faces we might put on our pumpkins. So even though we will just be moved in, we will at least have some spooky decorations!

And Fern too!

Here is baby Fern too! :) This was her first trip to Grandpa's house. I can't believe she is 11 1/2 mo. old already! Time flys too quickly! Just thought you all would like to skip down memory lane with me!

Dan left today, we took him down to San Diego and now he is on his way to Nebraska to meet his airplane. He is so excited! The kids don't really get it yet, they are unusually mellow right now. Me... well I guess I just love my husband too much! :) The closing date on our house has been moved up a few days, we are hoping for a couple more, we'll see. So it looks as if we will be in Connecticut before the end of the month. We are excited and eager to get into our new house. I have been picking out paint, and planning on demolishing the kitchen a bit. Hopefully Dan's schedule will be light around then so I can use his muscles! Even Riley has started to get eager, it will probably get scaled back when he realizes just how long he will be in the car! :)

A few years back!

Well I am on a computer, but I can't load pictures, so I searched Daddy's computer and found these two cute babies!


This is Riley in our apt. in Costa Mesa, he was just 2. TOO CUTE!!










And here is Jake on our trip to Virginia, at Natural Bridge. He is 11 mo. in this picture. The same as Fern now. He loved playing in the leaves, good thing he has plenty in our new yard.


We are still vagabonds, we are hoping to move up the closing date on our house. We'll see. But we are in San Diego for a little bit longer, then we will head up to Utah. Email or cell phones are the surest way to find us these days. Love ya all!
